About BSC

Background

Emerging as a response to social justice issues occurring around the nation, Black HMS staff members created a weekly Black Community Forum – A Time for Reflection and Dialog – first held on Juneteenth (June 19th) in 2020. Encouraged by the profound advocacy born out of the national response to racial inequity, BSC founders, a group of regular participants from the Black Community Forum, began to focus on addressing institutional challenges that Black Harvard staff face in the workplace.
